{"id":1270,"date":"2020-03-26T11:51:47","date_gmt":"2020-03-26T11:51:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/leisurevalleyranch.info\/?page_id=1270"},"modified":"2020-03-26T11:53:06","modified_gmt":"2020-03-26T11:53:06","slug":"presidents-letter-of-march-25th-2020","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/leisurevalleyranch.info\/?page_id=1270","title":{"rendered":"Presidents Letter of March 25th, 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>To the LVR Membership:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the 2019 \u2013 2020 winter\nseason comes to an end, I think it is appropriate to inform you, the\nmembership, of all the accomplishments that your Board and its\u2019 Ad Hoc and Standing\nCommittees have achieved during this transition period to become a\nself-governing POA. They are as follow:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>List of LVR actions and\naccomplishments<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Upon assuming Architectural Control from MVR on Sept 1<sup>st<\/sup>,\n2019, the board and its Ad Hoc committee formulated and announced the \u201cgrandfathering\u201d\nof MVR approved lots and construction \u2013 highlighting that this would not\nestablish any past architectural precedents. <\/li><li>LVR HOPA intent was establish and the required occupancy\nverification census was completed in accordance with HUD register.<\/li><li>The board established both the Compliance Committee\n(CC) and Architectural Control Committees (ACC)<ul><li>The Committees\nare up and operational.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>The Committee Charters\nand processes completed and included in LVR Roles, Rules and Procedures (RR&amp;P\u2019s).\n<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Upon the recommendations of our LVR attorney, the\nfollowing policies have been approved by the board and are filed or will be\nfiled with the Hidalgo County and posted on the LVR website:<ul><li>A Fines and\nCollections Policy<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>The adoption of policies\nthat align LVR with state statute in the following areas:<ul><li>&nbsp;Solar Device\nand Energy Efficient Roofing Policy<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Rainwater Harvesting System Policy<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Flag Display and Flagpole Installation Policy<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Display of Certain Religious Items Policy<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>The President\u2019s repeated communications during\nmembership meetings regarding a \u201cgrace period\u201d for all owners to get in\ncompliance with LVR\u2019s governing documents.<ul><li>Presidents\nemailed letter communicating the end of \u201cgrace period\u201d and that the LVR Board\nwill be managing the POA in accordance with the Governing documents. <\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>LVR Website has been revamped and is up and operational.<\/li><li>LVR Owners \u201cresponsibilities\u201d have been\narticulated and posted at the LVR clubhouse activities billboard and the LVR\nwebsite.<\/li><li>The RR&amp;P\u2019s were amended to establish guidelines\nand to define the process of: <ul><li>\u201cPassing the hat\u201d<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Authorizing LVR\nowners to competitively bid for contracted services<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>The Board developed a more detailed definition of\nBoard member\u2019s job descriptions and responsibilities.<\/li><li>The Board presented and the membership voted on proposed\nchanges to the recreation hall lay out and enlarging the library\/meeting room.<\/li><li>The board treasurer provided a written explanation on \u201cwhy\nour maintenance fees are $300 and why we have reserves\u201d which will be posted on\nthe website.<\/li><li>LVR ACC and CC volunteers are setup to operate\nyear-round \u2013 especially throughout the summer months.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>So far, it has been a very\nbusy year for LVR. A lot has been accomplished since September 1, 2019. We are\nall volunteers who have freely devoted our time and talents to ensure a\nseamless transition. All the actions and accomplishments listed above could not\nhave occurred without the support of the LVR community. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Be safe and stay healthy.
